Maintain formatting when pasting from Google docs.
Using this amazing tool get super limited when bringing thoughts/copy/text in from elsewhere.
If I can keep even basic formatting this will become a daily, 'can't live without' writing and thoughts tool.1 vote
Add basic Rich Text Editor features - CKEditor, TinyMCE, or the likes
This may not solve my challenge but It would be a great addition. But, I find formatting difficult when pasting in from Chrome.
Formatting is lost.
If anybody has an example of an app or service that does this well, please leave a comment. Thanks! :)45 votes

Make it clear when you're not logged in anymore
I just lost about 20 minutes of work because apparently I wasn't logged in anymore, there's no way for me to get this back now and I was not notified that my account wasn't logged in anymore. I only found out when I tried to create a new file and it didn't let me so I reloaded the page and saw the login screen..3 votes
We can add external links using markdown easy enough but we can't link other thoughts in a thoughtplan via that method. it would be nice to be able to link text to a specific thought in a pseudo-wiki style.1 vote
Sub-categories for topics
Currently you write and then hit enter and it jumps to a new thought. I would like to see a feature that allowed me to have a sub-category to the thought i just wrote. So for example I have a topic called 'Dillons Budget' and under that is another topic called 'Action Plan' Can we get an indentation where I then could put other things associated with the Action plan instead of just this long list on the left hand side. Hopefully this makes sense.22 votes
It would be great to have Trello integration, where one Trello card corresponds to one Thought Plan, and when you open the card you pop up or go to Thought Plan for the details. Thought Plan is much better than Trello's own card content which has checklists and comments, at least for personal use.2 votes
Use a markdown for more than one Thought
When structuring ideas, a markdown sometimes is relevant to more than one thought.
Doubling up markdowns can produce confusion and 'out of date' content on markdown versions,
it would be great to link a markdown to more than one thought so you are always working on (and updating) the same content.4 votes

User Defined Tags and Search
I like to be able to take notes on articles. I read a lot of articles, but they don't really follow any logical tree structure. I would love to be able to define a tag like <%(userdefinedprefix)s:keywords>"new york times",news, politics </%(userdefinedprefix)s:keywords>
and then be able to search for all my thoughts I tagged politics and news6 votes
The ability to get embed a Thought Plan into a website or LMS.
I would like to be able to have what I see on the screen embedded or somehow showing in my online courses.1 vote
Share Individual Thoughts
As of now, sharing implies sharing the entire plan with someone. In some cases, we might want to share a single thought with someone, (if possible, in read-only format).4 votes

Option to export entire thought as a single MD document
It would be nice to have the option to export an entire thought plan into a single markdown document instead of a directory with multiple documents. This would help with publishing.2 votes
